Hazardous and dead tree removal
A leaning pine, a hardwood with a cracked trunk, or a tree that's clearly dead and dropping bark is a liability, not a landscaping decision. We assess the lean, the root plate and what's in the drop zone, then climb or section the tree so it comes down in controlled pieces rather than one dangerous fall. Dead pines are a particular Houston County problem: they hold their needles a while after they die, so a hazard tree can still look green from the road.
Large pine and oak takedowns near structures
Georgia's tall loblolly and longleaf pines routinely stand 60-100 feet, and a lot of Perry homes were built with mature pines and oaks left close to the house for shade. When a tree that size has to come down near a roofline, fence or power line, we rig and lower sections with rope rather than dropping the whole tree, which costs more in labor but protects everything underneath.
Lot clearing for new builds and additions
Houston County's growth means new home sites and additions carved out of wooded lots, especially around the newer subdivisions toward Kathleen and Bonaire. We clear selected trees or full lots, grind stumps flush for grading, and can leave healthy shade trees standing if you tell us which ones to protect before we start.
